Introducing our Alberta Rose Queens

 ROOTED IN RESILENCE

The Canadian beekeeping industry is moving toward halting bee imports which is a necessary step to protect our bees from varroa mites, disease pressure, and biosecurity risks. The situation is evolving to the point where we need to create sustainable beekeeping right here in Alberta. Something we've always known: the strongest colonies are the ones that are made here.

We will be producing hundreds of climate-adapted Alberta Rose Queens™ annually, bred in Alberta's foothills from mothers who have prospered through an Alberta winter, raised to thrive in the conditions they'll actually face. These aren't imported bees learning to survive. These are home-grown bees who already know how.

The Wild Rose is Alberta's official emblem because it represents what makes this province special: beauty that doesn't wilt under pressure. It blooms across the prairies, endures harsh winters, and comes back stronger every spring. Alberta Rose Queens™ carry that same DNA. They're not southern bees trying to survive in the north. They're northern bees who know winter is coming and they're ready for it.

Our queens are raised using the Support Colony Philosophy in climate-controlled Bee Cube® apiaries that work with natural bee behaviour, not against it. The result? Queens with proven winter survival rates, gentle temperaments, and the genetics your operation needs to build sustainable, productive colonies.

We’re proud to supply queens and nucs but we also help beekeepers become producers themselves. By purchasing a Bee Cube®, you gain access to the same system we use, giving you the tools to rear your own queens and produce nucs as part of your operation or as an additional revenue stream.
